Introduction to Sea Kayaking

We know that the more you know about the Chesapeake Bay the more you will want to protect it. Kayaking is a great way to get up close and personal with the Bay.
The Chesapeake Paddlers Association is offering a one-day exploration of sea kayaking in the classroom with local paddlers and instructors – no boat needed! Learn how to get comfortable with a little more distance and a little more bounce to open up a world of new kayaking and social opportunities. Enthusiastic paddlers will share their experiences and expertise on a wide variety of topics.

- Picking the Perfect Paddle
- Where to paddle
- History of kayaking
- Getting Your Boat to the Water: Car top or trailer peake
- Staying Safe on the Water
- The three P’s (Pump, Paddle Float and PFD)
- Fashion show of paddling garb and gear!
The $40 registration fee includes lunch, snacks and beverages.
