Annapolis Green and City of Annapolis Offer Six-Month Food Waste Composting Pilot Program to Residents October 1, 2021 – March 30, 2022 Annapolis Green and the City of Annapolis are teaming up to collect kitchen scraps at Truxtun Park to keep food waste out of the landfill. We love our pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. But after Thanksgiving, they need to give way for holiday decorations. Don't put them in the landfill! Instead, give them a dignified demise as compost, Nature's fertilizer. Bring your unwanted pumpkins to Truxtun Park, across from the skate park and just past the pool and ball fields, We've got bins set up to collect them. The Great Pumpkin dropoff is going on together with our kitchen scrap collection that will continue through March 30.  Read more…
