Invasive Species Control Program

Scenic Rivers Land Trust is excited to announce the second season of its Invasive Species Control Program at Bacon Ridge Natural Area. In May and June Scenic Rivers staff will gather for weekly workdays with small groups of volunteers to remove invasive plant species along the trails of the Natural Area. Invasive plant species, such as Japanese stiltgrass, wavyleaf basketgrass, and oriental bittersweet, can be incredibly damaging to forest ecosystems.
