Bike to Work Day
Bike to Work Week is May 15 - 21. In Annapolis join the celebration at Susan Campbell Park (City Dock). There will be giveaways, remarks by guest speakers County Executive Steuart Pittman & Mayor Gavin Buckley, a raffle, and free bike maintenance courtesy of Bike Doctor. Bill Signing for Bring Your Own Bag Plastic Reduction Act
Join bill sponsor Councilwoman Lisa Rodvien, County Executive Steuart Pittman, and other county officials, and environmental advocates for a public event to sign the bill into law. The Act prohibits plastic bags from being used in most retail applications in the county and requires that retailers charge customers 10-cents for any paper bags provided at the point of sale. This will result in a cleaner environment for us all.
