Kick off the weekend with the great feeling that comes with doing good and important work! Join Jug Bay Field Work Fridays every Friday rain or shine. Volunteers join staff naturalists to tackle a stewardship project in need of support. Projects include invasive plant removals, trash clean-ups, gardening, citizen science monitoring, and more. Chesapeake Natives is a nonprofit native plant nursery located in Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland dedicated to promoting, protecting, and propagating plants native to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Volunteers are needed to help with various overwintering projects at the nursery in the new year. This is a great opportunity to learn about local eco-type native plant species. GreenScape is a volunteer effort that encourages individuals and organizations to plant and maintain native flower and vegetable gardens in public spaces throughout the City. The City provides plant materials, mulch, trash bags and gloves, and in turn, members of the community volunteer to make a difference in Annapolis. GreenScape will take place on Saturday, April 23 when the City gives away free plants. This year’s selection will include many native pollinator plants so the butterflies and bees can join…
