State of the Severn Report

Quiet Waters Park Development Public Meeting

The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works has released plans to develop a portion of Quiet Waters Park into a Paddling & Rowing Facility.  A virtual public meeting has been scheduled to present and discuss the proposal. The design shows two boardwalks off the main paved path behind the Holly Pavilion (nearest to the concert stage), crossing the upland and wetland areas leading to an approximately 250’ long dock extending into the cove. GreenScape, to be held April 24, is a city and community partnership investment of beautification, clean-up, and planting in public spaces throughout the City of Annapolis. GreenScape was founded through the efforts of former Mayor Ellen Moyer and the Annapolis Recreation and Parks Advisory Board.
