World Oceans Day Presentation

The public is invited to join the Eastport Yacht Club Environmental Committee for a special online presentation by Chef Barton Seaver: “Sustainable Seafood in the Modern American Diet: How seafood can play a role in a Sustainable Future.”
Barton is one of the world’s leading sustainable seafood experts. He traded his illustrious career as an award winning chef to travel the world as a member of the US. Culinary Ambassador Corps. He served as Director of the Sustainable Seafood and Health Program at Harvard’s School of Public Health and was a National Geographic Fellow and a New England Aquarium Fellow. His first book, For Cod and Country: Simple, Delicious, Sustainable Cooking, increased public awareness of the sustainable seafood issue. Recently, he published American Seafood: Heritage, Culture & Cookery From Sea to Shining Sea and established the Coastal Culinary Academy.
