Weed to Read Gardeners at the Michael Busch Annapolis Library on West Street need volunteers for several community planting events. Courtesy of GreenGive partner Unity Gardens, 500 native perennials will need to be planted in the gardens at the library.
Many hands are needed to make light work of digging, planting, and watering new flowers.
Come out and enjoy the fun, learn about the value of native plants, and take pride all season long and for years to come at your bright contribution every time you visit the library or drive down West Street. People of all ages and all levels of experience (or none at all) are welcome to stay as long as they can. Bring your own garden tools and gloves, drinking water and a smile!
Volunteer opportunities:
Wednesdays – June 1, June 8 , 9am – 3pm
Saturdays – May 28, June 4 , 9am – 11am
Alternate Saturdays for weeding and general maintenance – starting June 18, 9am – 11am
