SERC Maryland Day Celebration

On Maryland Day weekend, come visit SERC for hiking all weekend and explore the Smithsonian in Your Backyard! Visit the oldest building in the Smithsonian still in the original location, at the Woodlawn History Center, open 10am-2pm, with a weekend architectural tour of the house. Also on the weekend, SERC science docents will have short science talks at several interpretive stations near the Reed Education Center and the Rhode River. Learn more.

City Dock Plans Review & Public Comment

The Annapolis Historic Preservation Commission will meet to review the City's plans for City Dock. It is a virtual meeting, live on the City's Boards and Commissions YouTube channel.  The City Dock team is prepared to listen to the concerns of the community (public comment online portal) and the Historic Preservation Commission, and work to achieve consensus on the City Dock plan. Roughly 20 acres of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's 283-acre Clagett Farm regenerative farm is dedicated to the vegetable operation, which maintaining takes a lot of hands. The far is asking for volunteers to work on the vegetable operation since it has a direct impact on protecting local waterways, mitigating climate change, and supporting food equity in our local communities. Join for a few hours on the farm to plant, weed, and harvest food for its CSA and the surrounding community. More…
