Run for Nature Earth Day 5K – POSTPONED
The 5K race will benefit the Friends of Quiet Waters Park Nature Center Campaign. The rolling and beautiful 5K course is run on mostly paved park trails through wooded parkland. Walkers and children are welcome. Pets or strollers are permitted. Post-race festivities include an awards ceremony, refreshments and a random prize drawing. T-shirts to all pre-registered participants and walk-ins as supplies last. Overall and age group medals (2-deep) in 10-year groups. Top overall finishers also receive prizes. Information

Celebrate our planet at the 2020 Earth Day Festival. Take part in environmental education activities and learn about environmental partnerships with a variety of vendors and environmental groups. Junior Park Ranger activities available for ages 4 – 12. All other activities will be open to all ages. Park admission fee waived for attendees. Remove Invaders at Quiet Waters Park on Earth Day
Join Friends of Quiet Waters Park and Park Rangers to remove invasive species. Invaders such as English Ivy, Wisteria, and Honeysuckle are taking over parts of the park. These non-native species take nutrients from native plants and eventually strangle and kill the trees. This effort is part of a multi-year program to remove the invaders. Campfire Chat (and stories and music) with Troubadour Jeff Holland
Anne Arundel Recreation and Parks Department is hosting Campfire Chats to bring the community together around a campfire at one of your favorite parks this fall for a series of engaging and informative chats.
