Kids on the Creek
The Spa Creek Conservancy invites families to learn and celebrate Spa Creek at this free community event. Free boat rides begin at 11:30 a.m. (Boat rides are for children ages 5 and up. Due to limited space only one parent allowed with children ages 5-8 and no parents for children over the age of 8.) The first Great Pumpkin Dropoff in early November was such a success that we're doing it again to capture the pumpkins you're keeping through Thanksgiving. We'll give them a new life as Pumpkin Spice Compost -- a great holiday gift! Just drop them off at Truxtun Park, near the skateboard area. Follow directional signs from Hilltop and Primrose Lane. We love our pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. But after Thanksgiving, they need to give way for holiday decorations. Don't put them in the landfill!
