Frostburg EV Expo

Join electric vehicle owners in Frostburg, Md., to view a variety of electric vehicles, chat with owners, find out what’s new with charging infrastructure, and so much more.

Get a close look at various all-electric and plug-in hybrid models, look under the hood, talk to the owners, and possibly even get a short ride in one.

There will also be some short presentations covering what it’s like to commute in an EV, how to manage charging at home and on the road, various financial incentives such as tax credits and rebates, and current trends in the EV world.

What’s better than ice cream in the summer? Getting the scoop on driving electric, that’s what!

old home place stick sculptureJoin Annapolis Green outside Maryland Hall, near the stick sculpture known as “Old Home Place” and talk with those who have taken the leap to drive electric. We’ll have various models of EVs and their drivers are happy to answer questions. You will also be able to see the charging stations at Maryland Hall that are free to use.

Some of our owners will invite you to ride or drive their EVs so you can get the full drive electric experience! Test drive a Harley-Davidson Serial 1 e-Bicycle!

always ice cream company truckAlways Ice Cream Company’s truck will be on hand with cool treats for purchase and enjoyment at Maryland Hall’s picnic tables or under the sculpture. Click on the link to see the flavors — there are even flavors that are vegan, gluten free and dairy free.

The small, intimate nature of this event will allow you to talk with EV drivers in depth and to get answers to your questions. If you’re just “EV curious,” maybe not ready to update your ride just yet, this is a great event for you too.

This event is a small Ask an EV Owner event that is prelude to our National Drive Electric Week Kick Gas EV Showcase on September 26 at City Dock.

There's an Electric Car in Your Future

Kick Gas! In Annapolis.Annapolis Green is excited to bring you National Drive Electric Week, September 26-October 4, a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of and options for driving electric! EVs are fun to drive and one of the best things you can do to mitigate Climate Change. Besides, they’re becoming pretty normal now, not to mention, stylish, convenient, and less expensive than you think! We think that’s pretty Kick Gas! 

In the West Street Recovery Zone, 4 to 6 EVs will be parked on the Street while it’s closed to car traffic but open for outdoor dining. The EV owners will answer questions about their cars. (Everybody will be required to wear a mask.) Learn about the benefits of driving electric — for your wallet and the planet and be prepared to be surprised! Hey, it’s electric!

And how about this… enjoy an EV-themed drink while supporting our local restaurants!

  • The Supercharger from 49 West: Rise Up espresso, vodka, and coffee liqueur!
  • The Cosmocello from Luna Blu: Limoncello,  lemon vodka and a splash of cranberry
  • The Electric Grandmother from Tsunami: Just Guess what’s in it!

EVs Hit the Avenue – 6 – 8 pm
In the Maryland Avenue Recovery Zone, 4 to 6 EVs will be parked on the Avenue while it is closed to car traffic but open for outdoor dining. The EV owners (and dealers) will answer questions about their cars. (Everybody will be required to wear a mask.) Learn about the benefits of driving electric — for your wallet and the planet.

Among the vehicles you’ll see: Chevrolet Bolt (including a Bolt police patrol car!), Tesla Model S, WV e-Golf, customized Chevrolet Volt, and a Harley-Davidson LiveWire all-electric motorcycle.

Stop by Annapolis Founding One Hundred supporter Galway Bay Irish Restaurant on Maryland Avenue for a delicious dinner under the stars (or inside) to benefit Annapolis Green!
