Secret Garden Tour

hammond harwood house logoHammond-Harwood House presents its annual Secret Garden Tour, based this year in the Murray Hill neighborhood. Proceeds benefit the Hammond-Harwood House, a 1774 Anglo-Palladian home on Maryland Avenue, and its museum collection of paintings, furniture, and colonial art.

The 2021 tour features private gardens in the Historic District. Murray Hill, the area between West Street and Spa Creek, holds a beautiful collection of homes built in various periods and architectural styles. The 130-year-old community with its tree-lined streets is the perfect setting for an afternoon of garden exploration. All the gardens featured in 2021 epitomize the goals of the home gardener: to have a beautiful space filled with flowers, trees, shrubs, grasses, and other garden elements, a space that is a pleasure to live in and inspirational to work in.

Annapolis Green’s NAPTOWN TAPs are coming out after over a year in storage for the tour. We will provide free, filtered water from our unique NAPTOWN TAP hydration station to guests who tour the gardens of historic Murray Hill. Don’t forget a reusable water bottle to show that you are a steward of our environment. Leave throw-away plastic water bottles behind and your planet will thank you.
