Annapolis Green and City of Annapolis
Offer Six-Month Food Waste Composting Pilot Program to Residents
October 1, 2021 – March 30, 2022

Annapolis Green and the City of Annapolis are teaming up to collect kitchen scraps at Truxtun Park to keep food waste out of the landfill. Through March 20, 2022, City residents will be able to drop off food waste and other compostables anytime at Truxtun Park, near the skateboard park (300 Park Road).

This collection is funded by a Clean Up & Green Up Maryland grant Annapolis Green was awarded by Keep Maryland Beautiful, the Forever Maryland Foundation, Maryland Environmental Trust and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. Annapolis Green has arranged for Veteran Compost to collect the material once a week to process in its industrial-level facility.
