On Friday April 21, join St. Luke's Restoration of Nature for a one-hour community concert with Dr. Ildar Khannanov and his students from the Peabody Institute, followed by an art reception with local Maryland artists. Join Save Our Trees to help save trees by removing invasive ivy. Bring gloves and loppers if you have then. Wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts. No experience necessary. All are welcome. In 2020, Scenic Rivers Land Trust took action to remediate and control the threat that invasive plants pose on the health of Bacon Ridge Natural Area. First, teams of volunteers mapped and identified invasive plant infestations along Bacon Ridge’s 15+ miles of publicly accessible trails. Then in spring 2021, the first season of volunteer workdays began to clear and remove invasive plants from along the trails. To date, dozens of community volunteers have helped to remove nearly 3,000 pounds of invasive…

The Anne Arundel County Master Gardeners will teach you how to make your own compost using yard waste and kitchen scraps.
