Help Save an Icon of the Bay

Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse — it’s a quiet beacon less than a mile from the mouth of the South River. It is the last screwpile lighthouse in the Chesapeake still in its original location. It’s an icon. And now it needs our help. The US Lighthouse Society, whose members have been maintaining the light for many years, is holding a fundraiser on November 2 for badly needed repairs.

The gala fundraiser will include a cocktail hour, silent auction, and more. Music will be provided by the Eastport Oyster Boys.
