Spa Creek First Day Hikes

Join the Spa Creek Conservancy for its annual Walk the Creek to explore the waterway that runs through the heart of Annapolis on foot! You have a choice of two simultaneous hikes.You can bushwhack through the marsh with guides and see the creek like the beavers and other critters who live there OR you can walk around the perimeter of the marsh on paved pathways.
1 – Hike in the creek itself up to the headwaters at Lincoln Drive
2 – Hike on the sidewalks/streets which parallel the creek and include several places to get to the creek
This is the time of year to appreciate the track the creek takes through our town, now that a lot of the annual plants have died back for the season.
The hikes are approximately 2.5 mile roundtrip.
Both hikes will start at 1pm from the parking lot at Weems Whalen Field, behind Bates.
