National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
October 25, 2019 - October 26, 2019
What’s in your medicine cabinet? Old medicines you no longer need? DON’T FLUSH THEM! Marine animals are harmed by medicines that are flushed or poured down the drain.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) hosts National Prescription Drug Take Back Day twice a year to help communities across the country safely dispose of their unused medications.
By safely disposing of unused prescription medications, we can all help prevent a child, loved one or friend from misusing medicines that were not prescribed to them. In 2017, there were more than 70,000 drug overdose deaths in the U.S.
