Kent Island International Coastal Cleanup

Kent Island Beach Cleanups and Plastic Free QAC (Queen Anne’s County) with the Ocean Conservancy are looking for volunteers for the 2022 International Coastal Cleanup.

This event is both unique and special as the volunteers record the debris collected to narrow down specific pollution issues at each location. That data is then sent to Ocean Conservancy where they tally everything into a Worldwide Trash Free Seas Report. This report is used by many organizations like ours to help fight for policy changes locally, nationally and worldwide.

Volunteers needed at all four locations:

• Kent Narrows Pier
• Libbey’s Coastal Kitchen Beach – 357 Pier 1 Rd, Stevensville
• Ferry Point Park – 425 Piney Narrows Rd, Chester
• Terrapin Nature Park – 191 Log Canoe Cir, Stevensville
