Hives Alive!

Historic Annapolis invites you to make a bee-line for the William Paca Garden to find out what the buzz is all about during this fun-filled afternoon celebrating all things bees while you discover the important roles bees play in our world. Experience the wonder of a honey extraction demonstration from HA’s beekeeper, Peter Quinton. James Gagliardi, Horticulturist for Smithsonian Gardens and editor of the Smithsonian’s first gardening book, Encyclopedia of Garden Plants for Every Location, will provide a lecture about pollinators. The lecture will be followed by a book signing. Family activities.

  • Doors open: 1 p.m.
  • Honey Extraction Demonstration: 2 – 3 p.m.
  • Lecture: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Cost: Free for Family and Garden Circle Members; $5 General Admission; $4 for HA Members and Volunteers; $3 for Children 3-17; Free for Children 2 and under.
