Books for International Goodwill (B.I.G.) Book Sale
December 4, 2021 at 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
In order to spread out the crowd, the sale will also be open on Friday, December 3.
Out of respect for others, masks will be required.
Books are priced at $3 for hardbacks, $2 for trade soft bound, and $1 for pocket paperbacks. You may fill a provided grocery shopping bag for $35. All profits go toward shipping books to underserved populations in the U.S. and abroad.
Since parking is at a premium, we would ask that anyone who is able to walk further use the overflow parking to the left of the main driveway.
Financial contributions to B.I.G. can now be made through the United Way of Central Maryland, organization 9643. If you are a state of Maryland employee, you can support B.I.G. through the state giving guide.
B.I.G. provides services for recycling books discarded by current owners and puts them in the hands of new users. To date, the organization has sent 8.7 million books to over 30 countries around the world, keeping them out of the landfill and providing educational and recreational reading to people in almost every continent.
