2021 Maryland Environmental Legislative Summit
January 26 at 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Tune into the Annual Maryland Environmental Summit and learn how you can work to pass key environmental bills in the 2021 Maryland General Assembly.
This virtual event is sponsored by the coalition of Maryland environmental groups known as CCE (Citizens Campaign for the Environment), of which Annapolis Green is a part. Learn about and rally for passage of important environmental bills in the General Assembly’s 2021 session including:
- Increasing Maryland’s greenhouse gas reduction requirements to 60% below 2006 levels by 2030 and net neutral by 2045
- Banning plastic bags at the point of sale at retail locations
- Fighting dangerous PFAS “forever chemicals” that are polluting our waterways and putting health at risk
- Funding the Maryland Transit Administration’s (MTA) Capital Needs and electrifying MTA buses
There will be presentations by both environmental advocates and leading members of the General Assembly.
This is an hour-long event with opportunity for follow up on certain priority bills afterward. Stay tuned!
